Erasmus+ at New University
The Erasmus+ programme is implemented by the member faculties of New University, who is the holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). New University was awarded the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 in 2020. The ECHE represents a general framework or a precondition for European cooperation within Erasmus activities in the field of tertiary education. The charter is being awarded to an institution by the European Commission and sets the basic principles and minimal requirements for the participation in the Erasmus activities. The principles and requirements must be honored and fulfilled by all the institutions, who were awarded the charter and are participating in the Erasmus programmes.
New University is based in Nova Gorica, with additional premises in Kranj, Maribor, and Ljubljana. These study centres are geographically spread throughout the country, making the Erasmus+ programme of New University a distinctively all-Slovene higher education experience. New University offers Erasmus+ courses at all 3 faculties members:
- European Faculty of Law,
- Faculty of Government and European Studies,
- Faculty of Slovene and International Studies,
The coordination of the Erasmus + programme of New University is carried out by the International Office which operates within the Centre for Career Development and International Mobility of the New University. Erasmus + coordinators participate in the implementation of the programme at the member Faculties.
