Objectives and competencies:
1 Introduction to basics of Slovenian system of government
2 Comprehension of genealogical development of the Slovenian system of government
3 Encouraging of critical normative evaluation of the structure, operation and the necessary improvements of the current system of government of the Republic of Slovenia
Intended learning outcomes:
Knowledge and comprehension:
Students familiarise in theory and in practice with the fundamental principles and institutions of the constitutional and the political systems and the main components of the constitutional arrangements of the Republic of Slovenia.
Teaching methods
The lessons are based on the Socratic method which requires active participation and preparedness in advance on the part of students. Students are required to make a presentation of an example in the form of a seminar paper.
Assessment:
Written exam consisting of theoretical and problem work.
