About the Study Programme
The primary objective of the International Management program is to educate and train professionals across all structures of the economy, non-economic sectors, and public administration (at national and lower levels) in the fields of:
- business studies,
- economics,
- finance,
- logistics, and
- economic diplomacy.
Graduates will acquire a high level of professional knowledge required for:
- managerial roles in companies and organizations,
- managing private and public enterprises,
- solving business-legal issues,
- working in top and mid-level management positions in institutions, companies, and public administration,
- roles that demand high-level knowledge of optimal business management,
- work related to the field of economic diplomacy.
Overall, a graduate of the master’s program in International Management will develop critical and creative thinking skills for applying theories and associated tools to solve business problems related to planning, organizing, leading, and controlling in any organization, private or public, within fast-paced domestic or global environments.
The main goals of the study program ensure that graduates will:
- Deepen and broaden the application of multidisciplinary, theoretical, analytical, and practical knowledge across broader professional fields related to business, management, economics, law, and economic diplomacy;
- Develop competencies for understanding economic systems in the modern global context;
- Align available resources with project-based needs, rooted in business objectives;
- Understand the causes and consequences of changing and evolving business environments within global and local frameworks, and identify new challenges and business opportunities;
- Gain teamwork, collaboration, and networking skills to pursue practical and innovative solutions;
- Strengthen knowledge in applying the latest scientific research methods, including advanced analytical procedures, in new and changing circumstances, acquiring the ability for independent research and critical evaluation of potential solutions;
- Cultivate the ability to develop independent critical perspectives and reflections on contemporary development issues within the processes of globalization and knowledge specialization;
- Develop the ability for independent and responsible task management as well as team coordination;
- Gain the capacity to independently seek new sources of knowledge in both scientific and professional fields;
- Foster a sense of responsibility toward the profession, the environment, and co-responsibility for balanced societal development, as well as maintaining progress in the evolving context of multicultural Europe.
Enrolment Criteria
- Study program at the first level in the relevant field of study (03: Social Sciences, Journalism, Information Science, or 04: Business and Administrative Sciences, Law).
- Study program for obtaining higher professional education adopted before June 11, 2004, in the relevant field of study (03: Social Sciences, Journalism, Information Science, or 04: Business and Administrative Sciences, Law).
- Study program for obtaining a university degree adopted before June 11, 2004, in the relevant field of study (03: Social Sciences, Journalism, Information Science, or 04: Business and Administrative Sciences, Law).
- Study program at the first level from other fields of study, having obtained at least 180 ECTS credits and having completed study requirements essential for continuing studies. Study requirements ranging from 10 to 60 ECTS credits are determined by the study committee based on the individual application of the candidate, taking into account the field of previous studies. The prescribed study requirements can be fulfilled during first-level studies or by taking exams before enrolling in the master’s study program.
- Study program for obtaining higher professional education adopted before June 11, 2004, from other fields of study, having completed study requirements essential for continuing studies. Study requirements ranging from 10 to 60 ECTS credits are determined by the study committee based on the individual application of the candidate, taking into account the field of previous studies. The prescribed study requirements can be fulfilled during first-level studies or by taking exams before enrolling in the master’s study program.
- Study program for obtaining a university degree adopted before June 11, 2004, from other fields of study, having completed study requirements essential for continuing studies. Study requirements ranging from 10 to 60 ECTS credits are determined by the study committee based on the individual application of the candidate, taking into account the field of previous studies. The prescribed study requirements can be fulfilled during first-level studies or by taking exams before enrolling in the master’s study program.
- The enrollment conditions are also met by those who have completed equivalent education abroad.
Employability
The primary objective of the program is to educate and train personnel across all structures of the economy, non-economic sectors, and public administration (at the national and lower levels) in the fields of business studies, economics, finance, and economic diplomacy. Depending on the specialization chosen, students will acquire general and specific theoretical knowledge necessary for various responsibilities at all levels of organizational management, private and public company management, specialized knowledge for addressing current business-legal issues, or knowledge in the field of economic diplomacy.
The fundamental goals are that students will:
- Deepen and expand the application of multidisciplinary, theoretical, analytical, and practical knowledge in broader professional fields related to business, management, economics, law, and economic diplomacy;
- Develop competencies to understand economic systems in the modern global context;
- Align available resources with project-based needs, founded on business objectives;
- Comprehend the causes and consequences of changes and developments in the business environment within global and local frameworks and identify new challenges and business opportunities;
- Gain the ability for teamwork, collaboration, and networking in the search for practical and innovative solutions;
- Enhance their knowledge in applying the most advanced scientific research methods, including cutting-edge analytical processes, in new and changing circumstances, gaining the ability for independent research and critical assessment of possible solutions;
- Acquire the capacity for developing independent, critical perspectives and reflections on contemporary development issues within globalization and knowledge specialization processes;
- Develop the ability for independent and responsible leadership of tasks and team coordination;
- Gain the skill to independently seek new sources of knowledge in both scientific and professional fields, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the profession, the environment, and co-responsibility for balanced societal development and sustainable progress in changing circumstances within the common European and global markets.
In line with the defined objectives of the study program, students will develop the following competencies:
- Mastery of research methods and processes using various analytical and forecasting tools;
- The ability to effectively utilize information technology and manage information;
- The capacity to analyze complex problems, synthesize solutions, and take responsibility for forecasting, strategy, and sustainable development;
- The ability for creative thinking and effective problem-solving in project-based, business-legal, and business-administrative developmental issues;
- The skill to lead effectively and work within a team;
- Knowledge and understanding of the development of business, economic, legal, and other social sciences and their role in the global world;
- Autonomy and confidence in professional work.
